Matches are used to light fires. If you are lighting many fires, matches are more convenient, because you can carry 3 in one inventory slot. They also give more Arson Exp than any other method of lighting fires. They are sold in many city stores at the price of 3 matches for 20 gold coins. The same stores also buy 3 matches for 5 gold.
